It’s been such a long time since I posted. Life is busy with three kids and running your own business. I still find time to scrapbook but not always keep the blog up to date. I post more frequently on Instagram and can be found under the name @chrissy_h1979.
So here is a layout using Pink Paislee’s Fancy Free by Paige Evans. It is one of my all time favourite collections! I fussy cut the flowers and placed them in a triangular shape. This layout was based on a sketch by the talented Laura Rumble http://beadsbuttonsandbirds.blogspot.co.uk
You can see in the photo my new Jane Davenport watercolours. This was taken before they were even opened! I used watercolour to make splatter around where the flowers would be placed. I chose three buttons also from the Fancy Free collection and used coordinated thread to loosely wrap around.
I used the American Crafts Thickers Alignment tool to give the title a bit of movement. I then adhered everything down. A little journalling and the date and Bob’s your Uncle!
I am thrilled to be the guest designer for this month for Lottie Loves Paper UK scrapbook kit club.
This month’s gorgeous kit is Cocoa Vanilla Studio’s newest collection Wild at Heart. It also has some American Crafts Hazelwood thrown in for good measure.
My first layout I wanted to be about my son as I realised that I have alot more pages about my daughters. In the kit there’s are lots of beautiful blue papers and embellishments perfect for a boy layout. Here are a few close ups and the completed layout.
I used a Just Nick cut file and I love how it has turned out. Those sparkle enamel dots are gorgeous!!

Again, I’m not sure where the time has gone and I apologise for not keeping my blog up to date. I’ve been super busy but I have a lot of layouts to share with you. This month I took Paige Evan’s class organised by Birds of a Feather. It’s the third time I have taken one of Paige’s classes. I throughly enjoyed it and got to meet Beata Valint too.
These are a few of the photos of the day. I’ll add photos of completed layouts soon. Thanks for stopping by!!
Hello everyone!! I can’t believe it’s almost December. I’m not sure where the time has gone. It’s been a really busy month with my son’s birthday, a trip to Warwick Castle, a Paige Evans Scrapbook Class and a few Stampin Up parties! I feel exhausted.
Well I’m over on the Like For Ever blog sharing my last layout for Subscriber Spotlight. Here are a few photos of the layout.
Here’s the link to the Like for Ever page with more details. Thanks for visiting.
I love Paige Evan’s Take Me Away collection and I have to say I have a fair bit of it.
This layout is documenting my daughter’s pottery party. She is so crafty (like me) and loved the chance to paint some pottery with her friends.
I used a circle punch to punch circles out of 07 paper. I then hand stitched through the middle of the circle to make them look like buttons. I then used these to make the background. After that, I placed a white doily under my photo and used some of the 6×6 papers cut down to frame the photo.
I then used the ephemera and the chipboard stickers to create embellishment clusters around the photo. Then I added a title and to ground the layout, a cluster at the bottom. Finally, I used my white Heidi Shine to splat onto the Kraft background.
Thanks for popping by.
I’m over on the Like Forever’s blog sharing my second layout using this months Stargazer kit.
I love the make up ephemera and stickers by WRMK Urban Chic. The stitching took an age but I am really happy with how it looks.
Pop over to like for ever to see more photos and details. Thanks
My first layout using the Likeforever Stargazer kit is over on the blog http://likeforever.co.uk/2016/11/subscriber-spotlight-christina-howard-never-stop-looking-up/
I love how perfect the photos of my daughter are. They go so well with the kit.
